Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire in Montreal's West Island is a tiny sleepy town. The West Island has a lot of communities. For those who haven't been aware of it frequently confuse it with an island that is west-facing. Amanda Brugel is said to be born on the West Island. However, it's not the case. Brugel lived in Courtice outside Oshawa Ontario. Her initial ambition was to be an actor, However, following a dramatic expansion, she and her partner could no longer dance with her. An article in the Toronto Star article revealed she's six feet tall, with heels. After I surpassed my male counterparts at that point, I gave up. Former dancers often turn to acting and in the instance of Brugel,, it was the result of a recommendation from her high school teacher in drama. It was the teacher who recommended she pursue a role for the annual school production. She was the teacher who suggested that she take on a part in the school's annual show. The show led her to receive a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theatre Program and graduated with an Associate in Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. In the last 20 years, her roles on TV and the big screen have been numerous. Her role as Rita in the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale was her most notable. Brugel is the sole Canadian in the Season 1 The Handmaid's Tale cast as well as appearing only on occasion, was the only Canadian.
